SLURPY MAXX drying towel on the hood of a white Audi R8
Shown: SLURPY MAXX, the 26×34 big brother
Why we use this in our studio

Drying is where most swirls start. We built the towel to touch less.

Every car through our bay gets dried the same way. A thirsty towel means fewer passes, less pressure and less chance of marring a finish we just spent hours on.

01

Drag. Don't scrub.Fold it into a pad, lay it flat and pull it across the panel.

02

Wring into an empty bucket.Between panels, not onto the ground. Grit stays out of the loops.

03

Do not dry a dirty panel.Rinse the soap off first. A drying towel is not a wash mitt.

Protocol

How we run it in the bay.

Heavy, thirsty, edgeless. 1600 GSM twisted-loop microfiber, 20 × 30 inches, edgeless. This is the drying towel we run in our studio every day. Grey is the color we carry.

  • 1600 GSM twisted loop. Holds a lot of water per drag.
  • Edgeless. No hard border on the finish.
  • 70/30 blend. Soft on SiC sealants and coatings.

Why we run it in our Texas studio

Drying is where a lot of swirls start. A thirsty towel means fewer passes and lighter pressure on a finish we just spent hours on.

The Shop Protocol

  1. Rinse clean. Wash with AQUA-SUDS and rinse completely. Do not dry a dirty panel.
  2. Fold and lay flat. Fold the SLURPY into a pad and lay it on the panel.
  3. Drag, do not scrub. Pull it across the panel with light pressure.
  4. Wring between panels. Into an empty bucket, not onto the ground.
  5. Protect. Mist Katch 22 and buff with The Swiss 16×16. Keep the SLURPY for drying only.

Microfiber performance depends on care: wash separately from cotton, no fabric softener, no bleach, tumble dry low or air dry.

Straight answers

Questions detailers ask.

Still stuck? Email info@aqualuxdetail.store. A detailer answers.

Can I buff spray sealant off with the SLURPY?

No. The SLURPY is a drying towel. Buff Katch 22, VITRIFY MAX and other sprays with The Swiss 16×16 (350 GSM).

Is the SLURPY 20×30 big enough for a truck?

It will dry one if you wring it between panels. For full-size trucks and SUVs every week, the SLURPY MAXX 26×34 is the bigger option.

Is the SLURPY safe on ceramic coatings and sealants?

Yes. It is edgeless 70/30 microfiber with no hard border. Dry a clean panel and drag, do not scrub.

How do I wash the SLURPY?

Separately from cotton. No fabric softener, no bleach. Tumble dry low or air dry. Softener clogs the twisted loops.

    Changed my drying game

Posted by Janet S. on 1st Feb 2026

I used to dread the drying step. Multiple towels, wringing, streaks. The Slurpy changed everything. One towel, drag it across the panel, done. No streaks, no water spots. Drying is now the easiest part of my wash routine.

    No more chamois

Posted by Valerie B. on 18th Jan 2026

Threw away my synthetic chamois after one use of the Slurpy. It absorbs more, it's safer on paint, and it dries faster. The chamois is outdated technology. This twisted loop towel is the future and it's here now.

No lint or fibers left behind

Posted by Arthur W. on 15th Jan 2026

Some microfiber towels shed fibers all over your paint. The Slurpy leaves nothing behind — just a perfectly dry, clean surface. The quality of the microfiber is clearly premium. You can feel the difference.

    Lasts forever

Posted by Chris J. on 31st Dec 2025

I've had mine for over 6 months of weekly use and it's still performing like new. Wash it with the microfiber detergent, tumble dry low, and it comes out perfect every time. The durability is impressive.

    Incredibly soft

Posted by Michael V. on 27th Dec 2025

The twisted loop fibers are so soft I'd use this as a blanket. On paint, it's completely safe — no marring, no swirls, just pure absorption. I use it on my freshly coated vehicles without any concern. That's the level of trust I have in this towel.

    Great gift for car enthusiasts

Posted by Gina M. on 17th Dec 2025

Bought this as a stocking stuffer for my boyfriend and he uses it every single weekend. He says it's the best towel he's ever used and he's been detailing for years. If you know someone who loves their car, get them a Slurpy.

    Big enough for my truck

Posted by Nick P. on 10th Dec 2025

I drive a full-size Silverado and this towel handles it without issue. Most drying towels are too small and you end up using three or four. One Slurpy does the whole truck. That alone is worth the price.

    Bought three

Posted by Irene T. on 2nd Nov 2025

One for the car, one for the truck, one for the motorcycle. At this price, why not? Each one performs consistently and I don't have to worry about cross-contamination between vehicles. Smart buy.
